Cars that fit THREE proper seats in the back?

I know we have had these threads before, but you'll have to force yourself to be patient and repeat

Needs to be the cheapest possible to run/tax etc.

Fit 3 car seats with backs (not happy with eldest full time with no back to her seat, regardless of if she is "allowed" to be, she is still too little imo).

3 independant seats in the back.

can fit three high back boosters in there. or two + a second stage. or 1 hb booster, 1 second stage and one baby carrier.

VW touran, most vws. Also citroen picasso and newer renault scenics, berlingos. Zafira has only half a seat in middle but some manage (depending on seat/age combination) - we gave up. Not sure what your ages are OUrs are 6, 3.5 and 0. We have 2 high back boosters, and one first stage baby seat. We couldnt fit these properly in a Zafira and couldnt do one of each type either. If you've got three boosters you'd probably do it.

Its very very hard to work out in terms of spending hours at Halfords/Mothercare but we found both very obliging and willing to help and try lots of combinations - just make sure (it might sound obvious)you get the 'childseat" trained assistant. Its worth ringing to check they're in that morning etc. before you go.

my renault scenic takes three. have had 2 9 month - 4 years seats one a renault isofix & the other a britax & also the first stage maxi cosi with the isofix base. hth

We had 3 car seats across the back,now have 2 high back boosters and a car seat in the middle.

I shall patiently repeat my usual advice then

Use th eon-line Britax fit finder, and phone their customer services. If you have a particular car in mind the Britax people are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Things to bear in mind - the width of each individual car seat, and the shape of the car's seat(s) will affect the fit.

SIX independent seats and all of them recline. Superb with high back boosters and long distances. I have my 8yo in a hbbooster still rather than just a booster seat.

Not as big as people imagine, much less length than estates etc.

The touran isn't actually three seats the same size unfortuntately. We only noticed this after our third child was born and we were trying to fit two boosters and a baby seat in. Had to swap one of our old style boosters for a Britax evolva to make them all fit!

Peugeot 307SW. The middle seat is slightly narrower, but we can comfortably fit one of each stage in(0+, 1 and 2)and still do the belts up easily.

Fiat Doblo - 3 proper seats, massive boot, cheap insurance. They are fab to drive too.

Volvo - we are on our second one. Three children now aged 6, 9 and 12.

We had this problem when DS was born 6 years ago. Its really frustrating.

We have a Volvo V70 estate with three front-facing car-seats in the back. Its a squeeze but thats because we like to use the isofix fittings rather than the seatbelts.

toyota corolla verso fits 2 high back boosters and a 1st stage seat in (will be getting one soon) and there are more seats at back which i will transfer ds1 into if the 2nd stage seat causes any probs.

All seats have 3 point seatbelts too
