Is there such a thing as some gadget to protect plugs that are in a socket?

Dd is hugely fascinated with plugs, and tries to pull them out of sockets. She has managed to switch the freezer off twice . There is nowhere else to plug it in, it will cost a fortune to get the socket moved, and I can't block access to it without blocking access to one side of the kitchen table. Any suggestions?

Seona1973 · 21/09/2008 12:31

socketsafe - is this what you mean?

RustyBear · 21/09/2008 12:37

I used to have ones like Seona's link when my two were small (ie about 20 years ago) - I think I got them from a catalogue from a baby club - might have been Heinz.

Actually I have been looking for something similar recently, to stop computers at school being 'accidentally' unplugged - so thanks Seona!

I have just checked & we do actually still have one on the sockets in the playroom - it's now behind a bookcase & I'd forgotten it was there, so I can use that one at school.

we have got this its fantastic. you have to unscrew the actual socket and then this slides behind it. then you screw it back onto the wall and the cover comes over the top. there is a little key that you need to open it with. its been a godsend!!

this is a better picture and its on buy it now
