Prey tell me, am I being dumb, but how on earth do these bottles stay sterile when there's holes in the top of the cap? Are they safe to just sit in the fridge after sterilising? Plus are they as great as the packaging states?

Have moved over to formula (aptamil) after breast feeding full time for my 15 wk old little girl nearly 3 wks ago (also still has comfort feeds off me in the night). Using Avent currently, but am wondering if she's getting wind from using the bottle more (used to use them for expressed milk)!? She's waking up every two hours to trump, then is wide awake...HELP!

The holes thing baffles me too. I've got 6 of them, all bought from the same branch of Boots. 5 of the 6 don't have the holes, but one does.

I found they helped a lot with ds1's wind.

But do they stay sterile in the fridge with the cap on? hmm
