PEBL: Do you have one? Two quick questions!

My phone has gone on the fritz, I need a new one, and am contemplating a PEBL. I have two questions:

  1. Is it pretty sturdy and reliable?
  1. If you get a text, can you read it without opening the phone (i.e. on the front display thing)?

Thanks!

Having dropped mine outside a few times it's survived so far and I've had it for well over a year. You have to open it to read texts, unless I'm being thick and I've never found a different way.

Ah, fair enough. On some clamshell models, you can use a button on the side to bring up a text after it comes in.

I think I'll buy one. Which colour do you have?

May be too late (only just got back from school run/shopping!) It's just a boring blue one

Got a U9. Now that they want me to pay for the synch software!

Oh, and you can read texts from the outside of the phone, on the U9.
