it was created by a british woman maybe it's not licensed there yet

i luv it

CountessDracula · 18/09/2008 15:35

ah that would explain it

'cause it's crap and the only real solution is repeated manual combing, and perhaps the Americans have all figured this out by now

CountessDracula · 18/09/2008 15:36

That is so not the case
I can't get a nit comb through my dd's hair
But hedrin has got rid of them twice!

MadreInglese

MadreInglese · 18/09/2008 15:42

but what do you do with all the dead lice and eggs in the hair?

CountessDracula · 18/09/2008 15:43

They fall out
that is the point of Hedrin!

The silicone is so slippery that they can't cling on. If you put it on at night they wake up with a bed full of dead nits

OP posts:
bundle · 18/09/2008 15:44

you can comb them out obv

MadreInglese · 18/09/2008 15:46

sorry, one of my biggest bug-bears so will try to explain without getting on my soapbox

all the blardy adverts say that these lotions kill all headlice and you only need to use it once - but generally they only kill live lice so two weeks later you think your kids have got them again but it's just the first lot of eggs hatching.....

it annoys me that people take the easy route because the adds say you just need to use it once, then the little buggers just keep spreading from child to child....

grrrrr

MadreInglese · 18/09/2008 15:47

bundle CD can't comb them out if she can't use a nit comb on her DD's hair

CountessDracula · 18/09/2008 15:48

No with Hedrin you repeat in a week

Not yet licensed in US, but currently going through the process.

bundle · 18/09/2008 15:48

it's not a blardy lotion

it doesn't smell or kill them by any normal chemical means - it suffocates the buggers (it's a bit like the siliconey stuff that you might have seen given to colicky infants)

the other lotions - yes you need to repeat

CountessDracula · 18/09/2008 15:49

And the eggs fall out anyway, you just wash the hair and any remaining come out
look

OP posts:
MadreInglese · 18/09/2008 15:52

hmmmm

I guess really I'm annoyed at the lazy arsed parents of DD's classmates who don't get rid of nits properly

bundle · 18/09/2008 15:52

I said you can comb them out - for cosmetic reasons. but they're dead.

MadreInglese · 18/09/2008 15:52

My head is itching now just thinking about nits!!
