Mine's a Tefal and it also works as a rice cooker, which I actually use more than the slow cooker - it's fab (I am world's worst at cooking rice and it comes out perfect every time). hang on a minute and I'll find a link...

here it is - I'd forgotten about the steamer bit. I haven't actually tried that yet.

Oh and it's plenty big enough for 4 I'd think.

mine is a Morphy Richards one:-

www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Steel-Slo-Cooker-6-5L/dp/B0000C6WH1/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s= kitchen&qid=1221469476&sr=1-2

It's 6 litres, the 3.5 litres one is £10 cheaper.

I do ccasionally think it's too big, but it just makes me more determined to cook extra and freeze stuff. Plus, it does a whole chicken which is great and turns out to be the thing that I cook most often, so glad to have the larger size.

A-ha, so I need this larger size to roast joints? Does it take a lot of space in the kitchen? Do i need this size to clook and freeze extra? I alwys like to have something over to freeze really..

Thanks!

You could do a huge chicken or a leg of lamb in the large one. It does take A LOT of space unfortunately. I have used it a lot more than I thought I would though so it's well worth it

thanks, afraid I will have to go for the bigger size then, despite space issue..
