I'm looking for a new mobile and need recommendations.

My current phone is the Samsung U600 (which i've never got along with tbh). I'm open to suggestions on different makes but have had Samsungs for the last 5/6 yrs so am probably most comfortable with them. But hey, as long as its easy to use then thats cool by me

Its a contract phone so not restricted by budget.

TIA

I have a Nokia N95 and I hate it with a passion

It tries to be too clever... it has so many gadgets and gizmos that it is really slow; you press the menu button and it takes a couple of seconds before the menu comes up, and then it takes a couple of seconds to get to contacts, or photos etc by which time I am bored and frustrated!!

It has a really short battery life, compared to my last phone (about 3 days) and the number keys are so small that I find texting a real challenge.

I have a Nokia, 6110, I think it is. Its pretty good. I have always had Nokias before this, I went over to the Sony Ericsson dark side once, but never again, I hated it! Its Nokias all the way for me.

I basically want a phone that is just a phone, I don't want a camera, games, TV, radio, MP3 player and all those gizmos, but they don't make many like that nowadays.

I have a blackberry (AKA crackberry due to its addictive nature) as well for work which is pretty good if you want to stay in touch with emails.

Carmenere · 09/09/2008 21:35

Blackberry Pearl, I adore it. but I would like an iPhone, I'm fickle like that.

Lmccrean · 09/09/2008 21:36

avoid any sony ericsson with "soft touch" buttons..unless you want to accidently send blank or random texts with your cheek while talking on the phone..

Nokia 6500 Classic. Really like it, although the little bit that you have to open out to insert the charger can be annoying. They're robust phones, though (it's ben dropped a load of times and is generally to be found languishing at the bottom of a huge handbag underneath my enormous diary and bits of banana and biscuit crumb!), as well as being very slim and light.

I've got a Sony Ericsson W810i. It's ok but mine does turn itself off when it feels like it . The battery life is a bit crap too. It's easy to use though.

My upgrade is due at the end of this month (thank god) and i'm liking the look of the Samsung Tocco. I started 2 threads tonight to see if anyone had it but no one has replied . I don't know anyone who has one to try it out.

I have an LG Chocolat and love it.

To begin with I found the touch panel too sensitive but once I got used to that its been great

Phoenix · 09/09/2008 22:20
