Is it for everyday use or occasional use?

expatinscotland · 07/09/2008 19:35

IKEA

AccidentalMum · 07/09/2008 19:59

Def IKEA for comfort if not traditional sofa looks, go for the best mattress you can afford and get one with just one fold, not three, as they are a very very odd shape when folded up.

We got ours from here. It's fab.

LaTrucha · 07/09/2008 20:09

If you have any trouble with the website we got ours from here. They deliver all over UK.

beansmum · 07/09/2008 20:11

I got mine here. I love it.

beansmum · 07/09/2008 20:14

Mine's the leather one on the home page. It's the nicest thing I have ever bought.

beansmum · 07/09/2008 20:15

NOT the traditional one.

preggersplayspop · 07/09/2008 20:19

I had a really comfy one from Sofa Workshop. The bed folded out on legs and had a good mattress. It took quite a long time to be delivered though. We have one now from the Futon Shop for guests which is great as well.

marks and spencers. I just wish we had a more uncomfortable one then the inlaws wouldn't keep coming to stay lol!

chatee · 08/09/2008 10:29

thanks all for the links and your help,
sofa bed is for occasional use but must be a good one as one of the persons using it is in a wheelchair(and can't get up the stairs)so must be a decent quality to give at least some support.

Ikea then Chatee, an idea, but could said person and yourselves visit a store to do a test session?

TracyK · 08/09/2008 11:05

I think I was told at the time of buying mine - that to try and not to use the sofabed as the main sitting-on sofa every day - as it ruins the springs over time??

MatNanPlus · 08/09/2008 12:42

We have this one and it is comfy in the extreme and as it is single bed size as a sofa it is great for weekend snuggles and snoozes
