rear & forward facing car seats

DD is 9 months and very small - if she stays on the same centile she won't weigh 9kg until she is 21 months! But her feet will get squashed in her infant seat soon (I know this is ok safety-wise but looks uncomfortable! and head will be out of the top of the seat in another 6 months!). So will need a second-stage carseat that can face backwards as well. And the only one I know of is the Britax Club class, but there must be others out there.

Can anyone recommend any?

Thanks!

Not a recommendation but I would say steer clear of the Mothercare Challenger one. We have had two of these break in the last 18 months and now that DS is 2 have swapped it (and £40) for a Graco high back booster with integral belts.

I have just brought the Bebe Confort Iseos car seat that is suitable from birth in rear facing position and then turned round to forward facing when baby is heavy enough. I also looked at the new Britax First Class, which can also face backwards (both about £110) but preferred the Bebe Confort as it very well padded and was the seat recommended by Which magazine. I would suggest however that you take your car along to have them fitted before you make your mind up as we found that only these two fitted both our cars.
