I'm trying to track down a rearfacing group 1 car seat after some excellent advice from mumsnetters but can't find them anywhere in the UK.

Does anyone have one and please can you tell me where you got it?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Lionstar and Silverfrog. I'll look into those 2 options aswell. Also going to give the road safety officers a ring in Essex, thanks to info I got via email from rearfacing.co.uk

You can use the Britax first class until the age of 4 rearfacing if you want to. The ones that are group 1 alone aren't rearfacing. But when you remove the newborn insert from the first class, it is exactly the same as the other Britax group 1s.

I don't think that's right, loveshopping.

Britax rate the First Class seat until 13kg rearfacing (same as a 0+ seat) then forward facing until 18kg.

It isn't safe to use a seat rearfacing past the weight it has been rated fr, as it hasn't been tested beyond that weight.

no yu cant use the 1st class rearfacing till four. just upto 13kg, which for dd3 would;ve been about age 3.

It wouldn't have lasted ds that long misdee - weighed him at vets (I was taking dog, she was weighed, convenient, accurate scales there...) he's 18.8kg at 3.5. Not fat, just solid and fairly tall!

Silverfrog's right, it's dangerous to use a combination seat rearfacing after 13kg.

There are rearfacing group 1 seats out there loveshopping, but they're all in scandinavian countries. This is the problem I've got. I could order one but it might not fit.
Hoping that the BeSafe iZikid will fit as that comes top in safety tests.
