I want it mainly for the inside of my disgustingly greasy extractor fan, but am hoping to use it for other things I haven't thought of yet.

What do I NEED? What are the pointless bits? Am I going to get a decent one for less than £50?

And, can you use steam on leather sofas?

Boy magnet maker I think you're right! And to think I am one of five girls!

Does Aiden start part time this month? Or just straight into it in Jan? And at lauren being 18 months, doesn't it go so quickly?

BabyJJ, thanks for the tip, what sort of things do you do with it? Do you actually use it, or is it stuck in a cupboard somewhere? (With my bread maker, smoothie maker, and other things that I forget we even have!)

Mine is from John Lewis, it's a handheld jobby, was about £40 and is called...domotec steeam cleaner I think. It has lots of attachments but I've only used it for getting dog wee out of the carpet (yuck).

DH is more anal fastidious than me and I believe he has cleaned the bathroom taps with it and found it pretty good.

We bought the Lakeland one after friends raved about it.

I don't think it's that good...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/09/2008 09:54

Can you do leather sofas with steam? We normally just wipe over them with baby wipes but feel like it is time for something a bit deeper.

And how are they on grease?

I want one that will be the next best thing we ever bought, and couldn't do without it ever again!
