"Build a robot" fridge magnets - where where where to find them???

I have seen these in a shop miles from home with no website, but can't remember who makes them.

They are small magnets with pictures of spanner and other robotty things, that can be used to create robots. There were also a 'girl's' set, of a princess doll with clothes to wear.

Anyone know who makes these/where they are sold????

I have looked all over the internet with no joy.

I know they exist as I saw them in a gift shop over the summer!

footballsgalore · 13/10/2008 21:29

I got some of these in the toy dept of Fenwicks. However, it was last Christmas so no idea if they are still around. Don't know what they are called/branded as either!

UnfortunatelyMurderedMe · 13/10/2008 21:30

i have a fenwicks if you want me to go nose for you?

AnarchyAunt · 13/10/2008 21:31

Oooooh could you? That would be great! They were only about £3/4, and came on a flat sheet.

Thanks!

UnfortunatelyMurderedMe · 13/10/2008 21:32

I have the Robot magnets on my filing cabinet at work, I shift them around when I'm stressed out, it calms me

AnarchyAunt · 14/10/2008 20:29

Thank you

I want to live in a place with independent toy shops. We are blessed with, er, Woolies.

yama · 14/10/2008 20:37

Small rural towns have their benefits

Now can someone remind me of that next time I have to drive 30 miles just to buy work shoes?

sustainablysourcedwhitefish · 14/10/2008 21:22

Do you mean the interlocking cog magnets that are motorised or something far more exciting?

AnarchyAunt · 14/10/2008 21:58

Neither!

Just flat magnets (come on a sheet) with pictures of spanners, and other robotty bits, that you could stick on the fridge to make a picture. Sort of like those ones where you can mix up different heads/bodies/legs/shoes, ie ballerina, policeman, farmer etc,

LadyG · 14/10/2008 22:18

Funny have some of these sitting on top of the bookshelf waiting for a rainy day with 3 yr old and new baby to be pressed into action. They are made by blue2 www.thinkpinkblue2.com. i got them in a funny little shop which mainly sells personalised nursery furniture. HTH.

LadyG · 14/10/2008 22:23

just looked at website click on the blue2 (actually blue squared IYKWIM) and loads of good stuff including robot magnets available to buy online. Why is boys stuff so much more fun than girls?? Hope DD (2 months )will be a tomboy cannot bear the idea of drowning in pink tat..

AnarchyAunt · 15/10/2008 07:44
