Diamonds - are they cheaper in USA?

I got my diamond ring stolen and am going to replace it. We are going to NY at Xmas and wondered if we would get more bling for our buck if we waited> Can anyone help?

If you aren't in a hurry, have a think about what you would like to replace it with. Get it priced in the UK, then on your trip, get prices. That way if they are cheaper in the US, you'll know for sure, and be able to buy one.

You'll need to make a note of:

Carat
Cut
Clarity
Colour

To be comparing oranges with oranges, or in this case diamonds.
