Ds(10) is very tall and thin and need age 12 trousers but they are massive on him, not just around the waist but all over.

Been to the national school shop before, as they have skinny fit trousers,
went today and they had none and are unlikely to have any in arrrh!
So tryed everywhere on the high street with no luck and also online

Heeeelllllllllllllppppppppppp!

Could this be why Madness wrote "Baggy Trousers"?

sorry, not very helpful but I feel your pain trying to get school uniform to fit!

Ds is tall and thin, so returned M&S order & Mothercare trousers. Best fit have been Tesco.

LargeGlassofRed · 20/08/2008 23:27

Next trousers are slim fitting if you go for the flat front version or the jean style ones (not actually denim just a little thicker than normal trousers).

soremummy · 21/08/2008 09:31

M & S do them with pull through elastic so they will fit his waist I had to get them for my ds (17) for his part time job he is skinny and all other trousers fall off him

Sawyer64 · 21/08/2008 09:34

My DS is skinny, tall and 12.

I bought Debenhams and BHS, and they do adjustable waists as do Asda.

onlygirlinthehouse · 21/08/2008 09:36

I was going to say about the adjustable waists, marks and spencers are best I think.

LargeGlassofRed · 21/08/2008 21:35

Right, this is madness

today I've tried

Tesco, way too big, also didn't have ajustable waist in age 12.

Asda, likewise massive.

and m and s again! aarrhhhhh!!!

this is taking up way to much time!!!!!!!!!!!!

sainsburys have adjustable ones in that size i believe

ThatBigGermanPrison · 21/08/2008 21:37

This may be too obvious to be useful, but what about a belt?

LargeGlassofRed · 21/08/2008 22:15

tried sainsburys they only went up to age ten,

a belt would be ok if only a bit big but the waist on the ones I've tried are twice as big as him, so he would look like a sack of spuds with a belt on,

have you tried next but i think you have to shop online for the uniform but it will be with you quick
good luck

tortoiseSHELL · 21/08/2008 22:24

Ds1 is only 7, but usually M&S fit him ok - he is a total beanpole.

Have you tried John Lewis? They are often more of a slim cut?

LargeGlassofRed · 21/08/2008 22:37

have just ordered some next ones to try, will have a look at john lewis, thanks
