Mamas and Papas Mypod carrycot thing for a pliko - calling all pramgeeks, I need advice please

I have bought a pliko and a mypod carrycot. The carrycot ahs a slightly padded liner in it, with a zippered cover at the top (am I making sense?)

Do I need to buy something like a moses basket mattress to go underneath the liner, or are you supposed to just stick baby on top of the liner with the plastic bits underneath?

Canyou even get a mattress to fit?

I never used anything additional in the mypod carrycot apart from a small sheet under ds's head just in case he was sick in it. He didnt seem to mind the firmness.
