We had a thing that clipped on to the table and also a kind of sling that went on a chair.

That's really helpful isn't it Will try to find pictures

lauraloola · 17/08/2008 20:38

here A friend of mine has one of these for travelling and says it great.

Goober · 17/08/2008 20:39

Buggy.

RustyBear · 17/08/2008 20:41

Here - both on one page - the Phil & Ted's thing & the Go group chair harness.

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 20:46

The thing that attaches to the chair looks fab.

Do you think there is much difference between the one you linked to laura and the one you linked to rusty - as one is £10 cheaper than the other one

Not sure about getting the thing that clips to the table though - it looks great but we're only away for a week and its £33!

Are you going somewhere where you can hire one? A lot of places have them for hire.

Tobermory · 17/08/2008 20:51

I have a totseat, its wonderful!
DD is now 14 months and has been fine in it, just come back from hols and used it lots there.

I have a` friend who tried one with her DS when he was about 8 months ( i think) and i think it wasnt that great - a bit young. DC really needs to be sittign up well on their own.

Try ebay? Though when i was looking they werent going from much less than the retail price

I regularly tie my child(ren) to the chair with a pashmina - around the chest and under the arms and tie in a big bow at the back. It works really well (my little boy looks brilliant with my fuschia pashmina!).

WideWebWitch · 17/08/2008 20:51

There's a cloth one you can put in your handbag, Mo2 sent me hers years ago, can't remember what it's called.

WideWebWitch · 17/08/2008 20:52

Just looked at the links, yes, like the totseat one.

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 20:56

Do you think there is much difference between the totseat and the Gro Group Chair Harness?

The Totseat is ace- we've had it nearly 2 years, and still looks great. Its extendable/retractable so can go over tall or small chairs.

Seona1973 · 17/08/2008 22:48

where are you going? will there not be highchairs available there?

hughjarssss · 17/08/2008 23:29

Just checked and we can hire a highchair!

Thanks
