Ikea bed canopy

Does anyone have one of these bed canopies fitted onto a standard bed?

Ds1 has a standard wooden bedframe and the mattress sits on top of it, not inside it like this bed. I just wondered if it would mean that the canopy is too low - don't want to make him claustrophobic!

Thought about it but know that ds (7) would freak out and would feel claustrophobic.

Personally I don't think they would feel very nice to sleep under!

Ds1 is really keen on it - he has a thing about tunnels and hiding at the moment, and as he's due to move into his new room this week I thought he could have it as a surprise.

There's a rainbow one that looks promising but I've not seen this in my local store. Anyone got one of these?

That canopy with the stars only fits the bed in the picture.

Essbee's DS has the rainbow one though and I think he likes it.
