Blue Tomato do a cool one - cream with more tea vicar on it.

JackieNo · 30/07/2008 08:50

Laduree? - a paltry £149 (but that includes 2 cups and 2 saucers too, so a real bargain)

MamaG · 30/07/2008 08:51

I have a plain, white, BIG teapot that my sister bought me from my local pottery shop.

I think you should get similar, don't ponce about trying to be fancy

RubySlippers · 30/07/2008 08:56

whittards have some on sale at the moment (only a 6 cup one though)

ooooh stainless steel at John Lewis

very poncey

i have this one but the teabags get stuck in the spout so don't get it

RubySlippers · 30/07/2008 08:57

the blue tomato teapot

RubySlippers · 30/07/2008 08:59

le crueset

morningpaper · 30/07/2008 09:15

Hmm I like the idea of a big white one but need a suitably study one

that le cruset one looks good but rather industrial looking lid

great thread title

I have this one although after that thread I probably shoudln't admit it

anyway it is capacious and pours very nicely and is very sturdy. I've had it 6 years and it is still going strong.

Cappuccino · 30/07/2008 09:36

haven't you got some hideous £695 Portmeiron number left from your first wedding list?

morningpaper · 30/07/2008 10:02

Yes Capp I probably DID have one

To match the Soup Tureen

Thread title made me laugh - I can just see the headline in the Sunday Times review "Credit crunch bites but teapot sales hold up well"

pootleflump · 01/08/2008 19:20

I have this one but I got it for about £30 in their seconds outlet shop.

Snaf · 01/08/2008 19:22

I got a lovely Le Creuset one a couple of weeks ago (in volcano, natch) Think it was about £25...

Snaf · 01/08/2008 19:23

oh, have just seen Ruby's link - it was that one (only more expensive )
