importing pushchair from America

Has anyone imported a pushchair from America? I was looking at an Instep Double and they are only 160 - 200 dollars. I've been quoted 75 dollars for shipping> which makes it so much cheaper than buying in the UK. I'm interested to find out other peoples experiences, cost of import taxes, reputable companies etc.

thanks

ring your local HMCE for the tax tariff for the pushchair and then add 17.5% vat onto the top....

i was in mothercare the other day and they were talking about this. Check the following- does it have a 5 point harness (apparently in the usa trhey have 3 point)
is it the same spes- ie will the raincover/ cosytoes etc fit?

Try and get a cosytoes and rain cover at the same time. We have a US pushcahir and can't get a rain cover here to fit and our cosytoes is a bit of a stretch too!
