Dd1's friend is being christened in a few weeks and i haven't a clue what gift to get.

Her mom is buying her a silver cross on a chain.

She is not a girly girl at all, and it has to be no more than 10 pounds.

How about a book, maybe a hard back version of a childrens classic - can only think of Secret Garden at the moment but I'm sure there's loads more!

Tommy · 04/02/2005 17:52

Books every time for a christening here. Ifyou go to a Christian bookshop they will have loads suitable

Freckle · 04/02/2005 17:55

What about a dedicated bible or prayer book? You can get some lovely ones which don't cost very much, either a Christian bookshop or even WHS.

Ameriscot2005 · 04/02/2005 18:31

A book...but not one targeted at the Christening market, like those white leatherette KJV bibles (they get lots of those from elderly relatives).

Your local Christian book shop should have lots of books suitable for the pre-teens.
