Is there such a thing as a child lock for washing machine door?

'Cause DS has decided that it's lots of fun to open it whenever he's in the kitchen, and as it's right under my work surface it drives me nuts having to keep closing it!

Not to my knowledge, but they could do with inventing one. and while they are at it can they stop the machine being switched off by my ds mid-cycle. Can they also hide the switches on the telly, change the position of the knobs on the oven so they are not so attractice to toddlers, and make telly cabinets that are child proof. Sorry to rant on your thread - been one of those days. By the way - do you keep walking into the washming machine door when he has opened it. I am sure my ds does this to me on purpose.

Does your machine have an autolock feature when a cycle is running?

If so, try setting the dial to anywhere except the off position. Switch of at the power socket for safety.
