I particularly like the lists

Although she doesn't seem to have invented someone to come and do the things on my to do list for me yet...

Would you get the Life book or the Home planner calendar?
They do look good....

Oliveoil · 10/07/2008 14:13

I am getting the pocket life book with red cover and the small calendar

however my custom is betrothed (sp?) to Cod Hunker as I got stuff from her last year

the lists look good but if I have too many things, non get filled in

one diary, one calendar in this house

hunkermunker · 10/07/2008 15:56

Oh, I don't care, OO - just buy stuff, cos it's fab I have a link cos I send stuff to other MNers on occasion, as does Cod, I believe.

I've got the 'lifebook' with tan cover

I love it, although the stickers are absolute nonsense.

VanillaPumpkin · 10/07/2008 15:57

I haven't used my diary this year as I kept forgetting to transfer onto the calendar which is our real gospel......but I really could do with something to carry about......

DanJARMouse · 10/07/2008 15:58

need another calander, but will have to wait. no finances yet!

hunkermunker · 10/07/2008 15:58

VP, I've got the Life Book AND the Home Planner Calendar. And the Notes & Lists book, although I don't use that all that much, it has to be said.

I will be getting a To Do list to put on the wall though, I think.

VanillaPumpkin · 10/07/2008 15:58

And I really need a monthly plan so I can see birthdays early enough to plan.....

VanillaPumpkin · 10/07/2008 16:00

If I had the life book I could put it on the recipe stand and use it like the calendar but still be able to take it with me to meetings etc ........
I would need a separate birthdays calendar....

VanillaPumpkin · 10/07/2008 16:05

Does the Family Life Book have the month at a glance page that the Life book has??? If so that may be the answer.....I like the boxes so I could meal plan in the end column....

hunkermunker · 11/07/2008 12:12

Not sure - you can email Sarah to ask her though - she's very nice.

Done! Will report back in case anyone is interested.

fivecandles · 11/07/2008 17:12

Can recommend Google calendar which automatically emails you with reminders. Best thing about it is that you can input all your birthdays, anniversaries etc just once and set them to come up annually.

SoupDragon · 11/07/2008 17:15

I have the notebook in leather cover (sage green) which I have yet to sully with any sort of pen mark although I am religiously carrying it round in my bag to pretend I am organised. It's a bit bigger than I'd hoped as (obviously!) the cover makes it bigger than A5
I also have a pocket life book, no cover and one of those big magnetic week planners that stick to your fridge. Not sure what to do with the magnets labelled "day off" though...

hunkermunker · 11/07/2008 17:47

FC, I think you're missing the point of stationery It's an addiction, you see.

SD, this "day off" - I want to say it like "Spare Oom" - if you find out what it is, can you let me know, please?!

flirtygerty · 11/07/2008 21:14

can anyone tell me what the real differnce is between the life book/diary & family planner? they all look fab but can't work out which one is best.....

VanillaPumpkin · 11/07/2008 21:42

The family life book and the normal life book both have monthly summary pages .
Fantastic hey?

Lovemyshoes · 11/07/2008 21:43

already done it and got 2 this year. A family one and a pocket one - oooooooooooooooooooh the leather cover is so soft.

MilaMae · 11/07/2008 22:08

Can't believe I'm about to ask this

When you put the stickers on the family planner is there space in the box to write anything underneath the sticker????

MumtoH · 11/07/2008 22:46

Can't believe I am not the only one in the world with a stationery addiction... so glad I found this thread.
Anyway, looking at the calendars, thinking about the monthly Home Planner one (I too need notice for birthdays)- it says it has a pocket for papers, does anyone know where (can't see it on the photo)? It's just I have a calendar at the mo from Lakeland with a fab pocket for each month however, the space per day isn't really enough so thinking I will get this Home Planner one as long as it has a decent pocket. Anyone have one - any recommendations?

hunkermunker · 12/07/2008 09:47

Yes, there's space to write if you put the stickers on.

The Home Planner has one pocket at the back you tuck stuff in (I've had the Lakeland one too and I prefer this one - the Lakeland one got too heavy with stuff).

But I have a 1-12 and a 1-31 bring-forward system also in place for birthday cards, etc, so I don't really need one each month.

SoupDragon · 12/07/2008 14:31

Hunker, the bizarre thing is that the Day Off magnets were missing. It was only when I was throwing the box away I looked at the pictures and thought "I don't have any of those..." that I emailed Sarah to whine. I was so excited to receive an email telling me my "Days Off" were in the post. Sadly it was just a set of magnets [sigh].

Skribble · 12/07/2008 14:40

I have the Life Book, but I like the look of the layout of the family life book it seems to have a number of boxes for each day, rather than 1 section.

I also have the pocket one I used that more but now I am using that to keep track of work hours etc and carrying the life book with all the vital info.

Skribble · 12/07/2008 14:41

I like the meal and shopping list pad, [hhm] might have to get one.

SueW · 12/07/2008 15:29

I too suffer from stationery addiction.

But I will never buy Organised Mum until I can see it, feel it and smell it first.
