I particularly like the lists

Although she doesn't seem to have invented someone to come and do the things on my to do list for me yet...

thanks for letting me know. hunkermunker, tell me what a 1-12 and 1-31 bring forward system is and how it works? I am intrigued.

Nemoandthefishes · 12/07/2008 21:34

mmm do I go for family life book or just life book??
think last year there wasnt 2 options

Caz10 · 12/07/2008 21:40

I got my family life book (raspberry cover) and calendar in the post a couple of weeks ago....they are swoonsome, to die for, wonderful....I don't know what to do with myself until September.

Question for experienced OM's - what do you do in the Sept-Dec period each year? The diaries must overlap? Do you work a 2 book system?!

4andnotout · 12/07/2008 21:41

I have the pocket book with red leather cover and carry it with me religiously, we may not have even started september yet but i have stickered to my hearts content and it is already full with postal reciepts and school letters I even had to buy a new fountain pen to keep in the cover

Nemoandthefishes · 12/07/2008 21:48

A 1-12 is a folder with the months of the year in.

A 1-31 is a folder with the days of the month in.

So in my 1-12, I have birthday cards, etc or things I have to remember for each month of the year.

In my 1-31, which I (aim) to sort out at the end of each month, I have the stuff for that month.

A rather excellent book is Time Management For Manic Mums - I highly recommend it.

I would love a life book or similar

Ignorant question alert - can you order using a uk debit card, do they charge exhorbitant (sp) postage?

Chamomile · 13/07/2008 22:56

Can someone help me decide whether to get the life book or the pocket life book? I've had the life book before but it is a bit big to carry around but I don't want anything too skimpy. How much space is in the pocket book for each day?

Ceolas · 13/07/2008 23:04

I have been drroling over it all since I got my email. I don't think I could live without the menu/shopping list!

hunkermunker · 13/07/2008 23:08

Postage is free for UK orders over £7

And I don't think it's possible to spend less than that!

MummyToOneForNow · 13/07/2008 23:42

Does anyone have the Notebook - how many of the pages have the perforated pages with space for shopping and to-do lists and planning your week?

cheesesarnie · 14/07/2008 11:40

yay they take paypal!thanks hunker.

nkf · 14/07/2008 11:42

Explain the appeal of organised mum stuff to me? Does it really help?

hunkermunker · 14/07/2008 11:52

Yes.

Used in conjunction with a time management system, as laid out in the Time Management For Manic Mums book I linked to further up the thread.

It's just thinking differently about how you order your life and remember to do things.

And it's stationery [dribble]
