Does anybody have a stage 2 carseat that they think is great??? Ds is 16kgs and should move onto one but which??? Dh bought him the graco junior plus which is ok but not great and the seatbelt cuts across his neck a little. The Jane Indy Plus and Concord Lift Evo look good on various sites but are they??? Any advice welcome.
Thank you!

We just bought the Britax Elite which theoretically you can use till they're six (a bit of a stretch, maybe four?) It is as high as the boosters for older kids but still has the restraint straps, very important. Not cheap but then safety shouldn't be something you skimp on.

We have the Maxi Cosi Rodi which we like. It has the height adjustable head rest and can split to become a booster cushion later but with arms to guide the belt across lap rather than stomach. ds used it from almost 4. Think the Concorde is also good but didn't like the idea of having permanent height of head rest support blocking vision. There is also a similar Britax one (Kid ?) and one which converts from having its own harness into a booster seat then cushion (Trio).

WE have the Jane Indy Plus, which uses the Isofix system. It's about £99 on lulabys.co.uk, but we got it from an independent baby shop for £84.

It is stage 1/2/3 and can be used from 9moths to 12 years (36kg). However, it does use the normal seat belt so I wouldn't want to use it from 9 months. DD is 2y 9m and is great with it.

We have a small seat belt padder thing near DD's neck just in case, but the seat belt can be put into two different slot places on the seat and prevents rubbing.

It is fully adjustable - headrest has 6 positions. And the side wings protect against side impacts - which a lot of car seats in this age range do less well at. You can widen the seat if you want too. It also reclines easily.

And of course, as it uses the Isofix system, fitting it is so easy. Can be used as a normal car seta if you don't have isofix though.

Been using this for about 2 weeks now and it is excellent. DD loves her racing car seat!

Thanks everybody - am currently thinking of the Britax Elite as I think DS is too young to be restrained only by the seatbelt which tended to let his head loll forward when he was sleeping in the Graco Junior Plus we tried.
Thanks again.
