Has anyone bought dining chairs from Ikea and are they any good? We desperately need to get some chairs. Also, what about that norden table, and the norden bench?
Is it really cheap tat that will fall down the moment my kids bang things on it, or will it last 2/3 years?
What are the best/worst things to get in Ikea?
Tell me all about it!

We have these in our kitchen. Very cheap and cheerful, but not the sturdiest furniture you could ever have. They have to be tightened up all the time and make an annoying squeak each time we move! Fine for occasional use, but I wouldn't want them in a dining room or as my main table.

Ikea fab BUT very easy to make your house full of it (pretty much impossible to get furniture cheaper IMO - all the second hand shops round here charge a fortune for stuff they have hoiked out of a skip ).

We have [[http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80086575 this] dining table and chairs in our living room. Had had it for maybe two years now and is totally sturdy and fine. Have had quite a few compliments actually . Quite that our highchair (cherry Tripp Trapp -goes beautifully ) cost more than our whole dining set though...

That is a nice table, but is sadly too small for us.

Thanks for your replies, might get the norden, I think, not sure about the pale colour though. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........too much to think about!
