Help please - what car do you drive and does your bugaboo cameleon fit in the boot?

We are looking at changing our car and I would be grateful to hear of other parent's experience of fitting a bugaboo cam in the boot of various models please.

Was probably thinking of a compact hatchback type car but have no idea whether they would fit the buggy. I know it would be sensible to take said buggy with us when we shop, but as we are inheriting one from a family member we don't actually have it yet!

Thanks, CC

I can fit my bugaboo into a Ford Focus no problem. Also can get a pushchair in with it as well!

Thanks!

A focus is definitely on our list of cars to look at. Was also wondering about something like a polo (golf too expensive) or a yaris or something a bit smaller. DH has a four door saloon which we will keep as it is lovely and practical.

It is my impractical clearly designed for those without children car that has to go

DH and I had a much loved 2 seater for a long time. It took us a while to sell it after DD1 was born, so sometimes I used to take her places in it.

It had virtually no boot but we still got bugaboo in it. You do this by taking it right apart - collapse chassis, take wheels off, flatten seat - and then put it back together again when you get where you are going. Its really fast when you know how.

OR, if you have a car seat that works on the bugaboo chassis, then you can just take that and the adaptors and stick the carseat on top, easy.

I find them great to get into the majority of cars, I have had mine in my aunt's Nissan Micra as well. I would definitely try it in a car boot before you buy the car though, just in case. It is not the best scenario to be taking apart your pram every time you want to use it!

C4 and it fits fine.

Thanks for all of the replies - am pleased to hear so many positives - I thought lots of people might say 4x4 is my only choice!

Hopefully we will have a few weeks with the buggy before baby arrives so I can practice taking it apart . . .
