Wide fit shoes - stylish but supportive for young professional?

Since the dawn of time, I've had a ridiculously wide toe box that has made finding suitable shoes a bloody pain.
Couple those wide feet with very high arches, and also oddly sized feet (5 and then 5 1/2 - why???)

In recent years, I guess I fell for vanity and convenience - and I've ended up with the early stages of bunions, chronic pain in my big toe joints, tight arches, as well as the charming addition of toenails growing slightly diagonally and possible early ingrown toenail (presumably from tight fitting shoes).

Are there some good suggestions on where to find genuinely supportive shoes designed for my type of silly feet? That are also stylish?
Orthopedic and barefoot shoes (already researched) may well be comfy, but I need to consider what I can confidently wear for smart work and socialising situations...
High street 'wide fit' has also never usually cut it for me.

I hope these foot issues are reversible! I'm only in my early 30s and very active :(

I don’t know if they’d be good for your exact type of feet, but wondering if you’d looked at Vionic shoes? They are v well made and supportive but not designed for the “swollen feet older generation” market. Might be worth giving them a go - I was impressed at how good the soles etc were.

(not dissing the “swollen feet older generation” market as it’s a really important one and I buy some stuff from there anyway but I did come up against it when trying to buy wide fit school shoes for my giant footed wide foot teen and the DB shoes brand had men’s shoes all named things like The Derek, and The Graham and were in no way right for a teen!)

Birkenstock but regular fit only, not sure how many of these are stylish or work suitable but they do have a good toebox.

You need to put comfort and foot health first. Do you suppose men agonise over how professional their shoes look? Nobody needs high heels.

I think a podiatrist would tell you to wear well fitted supportive trainers. You can get black leather ones these days.

I have the same problem and get on well with New Look wide fit loafers and boots - I can only do flat or very low chunky heel though. They are plastic, not leather, so don't last that well, but cheap enough that I don't mind replacing regularly. Apologies if you've already tried them.

She hasn’t suggested high heels though - just something stylish.

Marks and Spencers do wide fit, possibly not funky enough for you though. Might be worth a look. Good luck.

I have hobbit wide feet and sympathise! I also had plantar fasciitis for 2yrs which was painful. During that time, I just wore black trainers and only changed to anything remotely flat and stylish for a rare client meeting and a funeral.

What type of job do you do? In an office entertaining clients/customers, lots of walking indoors, outside or travelling etc etc? I've found the odd, comfy pair from clarks who offer a range of wide fit options. I have some plain broques which are on their last legs which I bought from here several years ago https://farrowandsons.com/collections/womens-shoes

I can't edit my post above. I think I posted the wrong link and its not farrow and sons I bought from previously, but something with a similar name. I was just reading their returns policy and items need to be shipped back to their central warehouse in asia! Prices look good, but would be an absolute faff if they don't fit and you want to return them!
