You know that blind company that is advertised here...

...shite awful company.

I have said it before, but they are.

  1. Shoddy workmanship. plastic bar at bottom pulled out by DD within 10 minutes, you can see cut marks, its just a strip of blackout material glued with not very sticky glue, it has a pin hole which lets in loads of light, it does not fit the window well and thus lets in light!
  2. The cheap plastic bobbly cord comes down to my waist and is a hazard - the possibility of DD strangling herself when in her cot is high as she can lean out of cot and reach it, its so long - had to move cot.
  3. We waited for over 3 months for it to be fitted, despite constant calls - they lost measurements, found them, lost them again, found them again.
  4. They charged and deducted the full amount and now claim we paid half only - which means the onus is on me to prove otherwise because they cant keep accurate records
  5. They promised a 10% discount, which was never applied.
  6. Today when I tried to get it sorted, the person agreed that £8.70 discount for 6 months of no/poorly fitting blinds which cost not far off £100 was unacceptable, and offered for them to come and replace, with the same blind, and no more discount, when I refused, the alternative was:

Refund me the full amount, and take the blinds back! So I said, yes if they were two options, they can take their blinds back!

The person said until I get rep round to collect the blinds, as I no longer owned them, I should take them down, was I able to do that? I said not a chance, I am not going to risk falling off a ladder to remove a blind which might then get broken and then I get charged for, so they would have to wait until the rep came and removed them!

I would have considered a better fitting blind and a bigger refund, but no, it was either the same ill fitting blind with cheap workmanship and a deduction of £8.70 for the trouble over the last 6 months, or no blinds at all!

Shame on them, they quoted us £400 to do our very large bay windows - wood venician ones, and they can stick that up their backsides forget that!

Am bumping just to make sure at least one person reads it.

I am so annoyed I need to vent it!
