what chemical treatment for swimming pool???

hi all!

i want to put my pool up soon and really but do not know what chemical treatment to use for it. its one of those pools with the inflatable ring at the top.

Would the chemicals be safe for my 10 month old and ok for me, 7 months pregnant???

I make stuff that goes into pool detergent at work. I think the trade name is baquacil but that's all I know.

The stuff the council use must be okay.
