am looking for a highchair that is of a decent standard but not costing a fortune ( under £60 would be nice). need it to be compact when folded as i live in a flat and would also like to use as a low chair. have trawled the internet but would be greatful for a recomendation.

Why don't you go to a local car boot sale? They always have loads

You know everyone if going to tell you to get the IKEA one don't you! It doesn't fold but it is the best ever highchair.

Yep, the Ikea Antilop one. Indestructible and the dcs loved it.

Ahh, missed the fold up bit. I used the mothercare travel one that folds up for ds (as a normal highchair). It straps to the chair with a tray that clips on and then when they get older, you don't need to put the tray or straps on and it works as a booster. Actually we often just say it on the floor. Never had any problems with it but would say, only put it on a chair that is easy to clean.

Those folding ones are a lot harder to clean. I keep mine in the garden when it's in the way as like GoosyLoosy says, it's indestructible. And cheap. Mine was £11 a couple of years ago.

i have a chicco happy snack which was £50 its a good one but is now being used by 2nd ds & is driving me mad as i have washed the cover so much its all ripped & to replace it is £40 it has soooo many places for food to get stuck in that i am giving up & going for a ikea one!
