one of these? Are they as brilliant as their massive price tag would indicate??

Thanks!

My SIL has the E3 and can't sing it's praises highly enough. V sturdy for dog, smooth ride, handles well and she has the double one which I thought would weigh a ton.
She hates mine and says I should start wearing a pringle jumper as it does looklike something to lug golf clubs around in

Misdee - that one on ebay looks like a bargain - I've seen quite a bit of variation in prices today, but all were more than £450, highest price being £499, and those prices don't even include the footmuff which I've seen priced between £39 and £69. If anyone was thinking about buying one from Ebay, I'd check if there was a guarantee.

Thanks Jibberjabber, just for that reason, I don't think it's the one for me then

Despite my love of my Jane, I think if I was looking now I would seriously consider the E3. I didn't come across it when I was searching (and hadn't discovered mumsnet either) but it appeals as we are hoping to have another child and I dread having to go through that whole rigmarole again but this time for double buggies.

If I could chose though I'd go for the Silver Cross coach-built too. I had one as a baby and apparently at the age of 18 months told a lady who had stopped to speak to my mum 'please take you hands off my pram'!! My mum was mortified.

he he Portree! I had one too when i was a baby.

Just to throw a swerveball into the thread - have you looked at Mutsys? They do a very interesting double buggy. I also quite like the look of the 3Rider.......

Oh no, I'm not up the duff yet ... just planning to be! My ds would just love that Mutsy in the fun seat mode. I've never heard of them but they do look really versatile.

charleypops · 30/01/2005 23:49

Oops Well, good luck then!

You can get the stokke xplory fron glasgow pram centre for £399, I have tried on before but my baby didn't look comfy in it. I havr the bugaboo now and dd loves it, with the footmuff its really comfy and so easy to push

charleypops · 31/01/2005 22:59

Not too great, Its good in the towns and city but not so much the country

charleypops · 01/02/2005 12:22

Ah, that's what what my friend said, (although she doesn't have one she does a lot of "off roading" too). It's a shame because I thought I'd found "the" pram there for a while,,,

I have an Explory for my Grandson, Its the best pushchair i have ever owned, and I have 8 grown up children yes 8. so i have tested a few. The shopping bag is hugh, it expends out for use and then zips down when now in use. The height is great for the child as you can communicate, how much communication do you get with low level buggies? not much. Your little one is high up away from the fumes and has a great view, All the low level pushchairs don't have that great a view for your child. they see shopping bags and knees. The Stokke has lasted well, Its now on my second grandchild its A great pushchair if you are going on price then the bugaboo is not much different, its just a trend pushchair everyone is getting them just because everyone else has one. only downside to the Stokke everyone always stops you and asks about it. you can't get your shopping done as quick as everyone else. it is rather large so not good for some cars with smaller boots.

charleypops - i have the phil & ted sport and i had a face me carrycot which clips on called a peanut shell, google it ( am rubbish at links.)

It was fab !! also had the bar the clips on to enable me to use my maxi-cosi carseat.

Its a fab buggy used for one and two kids, its very hardy too. Can take knocks and bumps. I use mine everyday to walk my schnauzers (one big one small )
