Bra suggestions for big boobs

I am at the end of my tether! I am 40HH and am sick of underwired poor fitting bras that make my boobs look horrendous. Can someone please advise or recommend some miracle bra that will uplift and support without cutting into me or declaring my back fat to the world?!

Are you sure you are wearing the correct bra size? What size clothes do you wear and have you ever been properly fitted?

I’ve been measured by M&S in the last year. I wear size 18/20. The bras just make my boobs look a weird shape and I don’t feel supported. They fit but are just uncomfortable. I’ve seen the jelly bras advertised but are they as good as they seem? I hate underwired but need the support

I've been buying Bravissimo for years now, they are the most comfortable bras I've ever had.

M&S are the absolute worst for bra fitting - they add 4 inches to your band size when the support is supposed to come from the band not the cup.

If you're a size 18/20 I'm fairly willing to bet that you're a 38 back and need a bigger cup - underwires dig in when the breast tissue doesn't all fit in the cup.

Try the boob or bust website to measure yourself at home, then try a few different styles/sister sizes and see what works for you.

I'm a 32H, M&S tried to tell me I was a 36DD!

M&S = laughably bad. They up your back size instead of scaling up on the cup,size.

Get yourself to a Bravissimomfor a fitting. And if you can't, I think you'll find they do video fittings

Prima Donna bras. Get measured at rigby and peller, first bras will be around £100 but afterwards you can source on line for cheaper. I did this for my 36j boob's and the uplift/ difference was amazing, my back straightened and the fit was amazing.

No substitute for a proper fitting - luckily I have a small independent shop locally but have heard Bravissimo is good.

to be excellent for uplift and comfort.

Have YOU measured at home using a guide from somewhere like curvy Kate? M&S weren't accurate for me, I was wearing the wrong back size and cup for years. I was actually a smaller backsize and bigger cup...

I'm 30GG and I wear Panache bras. My favourite is their Clara full cup ones.

Measure yourself firmly under your bust and then over the fullest part. The difference in the measurements denote cup size. Each inch of difference equals one cup size up, starting with 1 inch for an A cup and so on.

Bellarosa lingerie is an independant selling Polish bras mainly, but if you’ve got Instagram take a look at her incredible Tuesday transformations, the before and after pics are incredible, and gives you an idea of how the correct size bra (smaller back/ bigger cup) makes a big uplifting difference.

Get a proper fitting from Bravissimo or an independent shop. M&S had me in a 36D when I'm really a 30H. Years of shoulder, neck and boob pain gone in days when I got a bra that actually fits. I wear the Bravissimo Satine.

I’m a 40GG, size 22. Get most of my bras from Elomi, expensive but you can get them on sale if you shop around

Do Bravissimo do non wired brass for bigger boobs?
I'm 36GG and tried one of theirs but the lace was itchy and the wires hurt.

I currently wear M and S Flexifit which are super comfy but only now available online which is a pain as I don't live anywhere near a store.

Yes I think they do. I wear wired bras but I'm pretty sure they have lots of non wired as well. There's such a lot of variation and whilst they are really supportive they are pretty too.

Another vote here for Elomi. Panache too. As PPs said, avoid M&S for bra fitting - they're trained on a method that results in a way too large band size and too small cup, which is particularly bad for those of us with a large bust.

Bravissimo fitting. They'll try loads of styles on you as well as sizes, so you can buy the ones you like best on the spot. It's the only thing that got me back into underwired bras after 2 babies and lockdown with my ravaged 36GG boobs.

The best way to self measure is grab a tape measure , measure under you bust and pull the tape firmly , write that down , then measure over your bust ( with best fitting bra on ) at the fullest part .
How many inches different is it ? 1 = A cup 2 = B cup 3 = C cup and so on . When you try on bras go for that size initially but also see if the double cup size in that letter gives you a better fit if you have fuller breasts .
Also depending on brands as they can be different .

M&S are the worst for big boobs that need support in my opinion. I’ve used bravissimo for years now. They’re not perfect but the Lacey bra is great for my 38HH boobs.

I think you should get properly fitted. Im only a 36c was a d a few years back so never that big but it does make a real difference when the correct size bra is fitted.
I went to a local independent shop for my fitting rather than high street who sometimes are not trained quite as well

really really encourage you to have a fitting at Rigby and Peller. Think of if as an investment in your self. Take a days holiday, a day trip to London. Book a fitting at the Knightsbridge studio and really enjoy the experience
