I recently had my camera half inched and I don't want to replace it with a camera, I want to replace it with a mobile phone that takes really fantastic photos....that way I will always have a decent camera with me (i.e. my phone)

Any recommendations

Thanks

New Sony Ericsson have new one out that does 5megapixels. Have had two of their phones - current one 3.2 megapixels and photos are good quality.

Sorry that doesn't read too well am multi-tasking! You get the gist though!

I have a Sony 820i I think. Has a 3.2Mp which takes fab pics.

I owuld always go with the sony as it has a cybershot camera.

BUT the flash on a camera phone tends to not be as hot as a flashon a proper camera. Just something to wwatch.

handlemecarefully · 25/06/2008 18:42

What's a cybershot camera?

DS has a Sony Erickson K810i with 3.2mp which he loves, but the Nokia N95 + SOny Erickson K850i both have 5mp (Nokia was top on the Gadget Show reviews)

i also have the nokia n95..in fact i am writing this on it.:-)

Anyway, the camera and video on it are very good..it is the main reason i got it as perfect for taking good quality shots when out and about with the kids.

SlightlyMadSweet · 25/06/2008 19:04

Cybershot is the sony brand name for their cameras.

handlemecarefully · 25/06/2008 22:33

Ok - thanks for these recommendations. I'll google those makes and models before I make a final decision

I have the N95 and it can take some lovely pics but it does suffer with shutter lag.

handlemecarefully · 25/06/2008 23:01

So what does that mean - that you get blurry images sometimes?

no no no the N95 was recalled due to faults but not all affected handsets have been recovered!! i know someone who has just got one and says it keeps turning off!!

i have the samsung soul it has a 5mp camera and is a great mp3 player too i love it!! its has that face recognition thing too bang and whatever you it?

Crocky · 25/06/2008 23:08

It is the delay between you pressing the shutter and the camera taking the photo. Was trying to take some photos of ds at karate this week and I just couldn't get the shot I wanted.

Crocky · 25/06/2008 23:15

I can't find any info on a recall.

micci25 · 25/06/2008 23:18

sorry have just noticed the n95 has been out for 18months its the new one that i mean!

dp works for a phone company and all thier stock hads to be sent back and anyone calling with complaints were to be sent a new phone
