Paddling pools - are they sold out EVERYWHERE?!

Last year's paddling pool went pop. I got an 'emergency' dog one in the May heatwave as it was all I could find. But it's too shallow for my 10 and 14 year old to really enjoy.

I'm desperately trying to find a decent one as we're not going away on holiday this summer so need some fun garden days during the school holidays. We don't have a huge garden but can (just about) squeeze in an 6ft to 8ft one.

Preferably a hard shell one because the inflatable ones never last. I have around £100 to spend. I'll get a cover and chlorine tablets to keep it clean. But they are sold out everywhere! Has anyone seen any decent ones on the market? Thanks in advance. <melts in a sweaty puddle but remains hopeful>

There’s a sloosh one and others on Amazon. Can’t link.

I found quite a few just putting your requirements in Google. Several on Amazon

My local Aldi had one or two today. I was surprised they hadn't sold out. sorry edited to say ignore me - just noticed the size you are after; they weren't that big.

Few people at work looking for them, not finding any.

I gave away a large pool with filter and heater last month, been in my shed for about 5 years and too embarrassed to rehome them because they needed cleaning. Went to someone asking on Facebook stating they didn't mind doing some cleaning, worth a try?

Same with an ancient air con unit in similar condition, I regret that one, it was very loud but I should have bought ear plugs!

Amazon are all sold in the size I'm after or they're saying 'delivery in January 2027' or similar. I'm kicking myself for not thinking about this sooner. Although, sod's law is that the weather will turn as soon as the kids break up from school!

Same. Neighbourhood cats scratched our paddling pool( that i got for a bargain £6 4 years ago)
I’ve been looking but the prices are extortionate or they’re not in stock!

Covidwoes · 09/07/2026 20:59

Avoid Wayfair! I ordered one, and they cancelled it as they couldn’t get the stock. Luckily I found a 6ft one in B&M.

B&M is a good shout - that was where we found our dog one in the May heatwave. I am thinking the 'easy set' one like we had last year - with the inflatable ring at the top is our best and only bet for now. And will just have to hope that our dog doesn't leap on it and pop it.

A friend bought a dog pool (???). She says it’s more robust than kiddy paddling pools.
