Second hand prams

Would appreciate any thoughts or advice about present dilemma.
When dd born we bought a Graco 3 in 1 travel system. When dd was approx 9 months old the pram developed a fault and had to be sent back to Graco. It couldn't be repaired and I was given a credit note, so bought Mothercare stroller plus forward facing car seat. Stroller has been great, very pleased etc.
So, baby No 2 is due in April. I now have a stroller but no "proper" pram. The stroller is apparently suitable for newborns, but personally I like tiny babies looking towards me and a bit higher up, protected etc if you know what I mean!
Have decided against buying a double buggy as dd is quite a good little walker and will be 21 months when new baby arrives.
I would like to buy a pram for new baby but don't need a travel system or even one that converts into a pushchair, just a basic rearward facing pram, also thought I could get a second hand one.
Can't seem to find a suitable one.
Can anyone recommend one or point me in the direction of a suitable website?
All ideas gratefully received.
Sorry, this is extremely rambling.

Had you tried the prams & pushchairs section on ebay.co.uk , or possibly ukparents . Local papers and NCT sales (although it's the wrong time of year for those) can also be good.

Lots of places stopped selling secondhand prams due to regulations that came in a few years ago requiring secondhand 'wheeled conveyances' to be EC approved and stamped, full instructions included and various other requirements. Consequently, most bargains are to be found through private say e.g ebay, local newspaers, Ad-Mag/Loot, supermarket display board, newsagent window, etc.

NCT sales will probably swing into full force in most areas in early March. You may be able to find details of your local sale here . In fact, having had a look I see there's one in Redhill this weekend, Newbury are having one in early Feb so might be worth contacting your branch.

Pity you're not in the NW. We're about to give away a silver cross pram, old but still in good condition, because no-one wants them anymore. Have you tried putting a wanted notice in the paper/newsagent?

Melly - are you in the Midlands? We replaced our Mamas & Papas travel system with a stroller (new car boot size requirement) and have it sitting in our garage (no time to do anything about it).

If so, post your email address and I will contact you.
