I have started a new job and need to go to a black tie ball in a couple of months. I just know everyone will be very glamorous and I don’t even know where to start. Can anyone help me find a dress? I am a size 14-16, 5ft 8-9, curvy. Budget probably around £250ish. Thanks in advance!

John Lewis is always a good place to start - some ideas … I have an older version of the Phase Eight tape lace one, it’s fantastic, flattering and completely non-crease if you have to travel

@Magicmonster you do know there is a Style & Beauty board on MN? That’s where this type of request usually goes. (Also, if you scroll through you’ll find countless ‘black tie’ threads, which may be helpful.)

Thanks so much both of you. I’ll take a look at those links tonight and also check the style and beauty board
