I can’t be bothered to wear anything other than comfortable shoes to work.

What trainers would you recommend that pass as “smart enough” for the office?

I would love to wear trainers to work but my industry is very corporate so not allowed at all.

but OP definitely stick to dark coloured trainers, or I wear loafers and they are so comfortable and can be worn with trousers or dresses.

The sock situation is difficult nowadays. Apparently it’s v unfashionable to wear the trainer socks that are hidden under your shoes and u should wear ankle/crew socks (so say the fashion police). But then what if u wear cropped trousers or a dress, this will look weird with office wear? Obviously full length trousers don’t have this issue!

I don't wear socks of any kind with trainers?

I wear the socks that I see fit, which is short trainer socks if im wearing anything but long trousers and sod what anyone thinks, especially fickle fashion police who dress exactly like everyone else, meaning they look ridiculous when you see an endless of people with white sports socks half way up their calves.

I’d been lusting after these smart black Adidas and have taken the plunge as they’re now on special offer! 😃

Some of the Adidas Liberty specials are lovely too.

I don’t like black trainers as a rule, but these are good
