Why does supermarket chicken seem so chewy lately?

Has anyone else noticed how chewy supermarkets chicken is recently ?? I’ve tried various chicken breast fillets from supermarkets, yesterday had Ocado own brand diced chicken breast and again it’s rubbery and chewy!
Why is it so hard to find nice chicken?! Where is everyone buying their chicken from? Ideally I’d like organic but the cost of it is ridiculous!

For those of us who don't have a local butchers in their town, is there any online butchers who deliver and don't have this problem?

We do our chicken breasts in the air fryer. Delicious, and the chicken is moist and tender.

Thank you to the posters who suggested chicken fillets, tried them today and they were great! Breast is not always best!

I bought some local free range chicken breast fillets from the local butcher yesterday and there was a big difference !! Not chew or rubbery at all.

I have also noticed this constantly especially sainsburys - sent them an email complaining - no reply - I am going to try the butchers
