Did you let your dd/ds choose their own bed?

Dd (4)'s bed has just broken-the slats in the middle have snapped ! She wants bunk beds or a cabin bed, but I want her to have a normal low down bed. She has a cabin bed at her dads, so isn't missing out if she doesn't have one here, but also feel it's her room so she should have a say.

Cabin beds are good for hiding lots of crap toys under if you have the one with the curtains that pull round.

We've just got one for DS (nearly 4) for this reason.

Perhaps you could narrow it down to a choice of 2 beds and let her choose -that way she is part of the decision making process

We got a huge chest of drawers and toy boxes for storage, so there is no storage issue-she has a tent under her bed at the mo but that's all. Good idea with her picking one of two beds-that way I like them both
