My DS 4 yrs old has recurring eczma, just recently the suncream I have brought Sainsburys home brand is irritating his eczma, he says it stings when I apply it. I did use this last summer with no problems.

Can anyone recommned a good gentle one whihc is especially kind to eczma.

Hey Saz

My 2YO DS has Atopic Eczema and I have always used Boots Soltan Creams the baby one is really good or the sensitive spray but I wouldnt advise the kids one as its not as sensitive.

Thanks, will have a look. His eczma comes and goes. Had been totally clear for couple of years and suddenly has come back. We have done/changed nothing. But hey his aunty suffers really bad so it's in the family. He's a happy chap, doesn't let it bother him at all.

take him to the doctors and they can prescribe sun block, think its e45 factor 50 if i remember rightly!

You could always go to your doctors and explain your problem. Mine always prescribes E45 suncream for dd2 if she needs it.

When dd's stung her eczema a coupld of years ago I bought a children's "Simple" one. It did the trick - but she still refers to the sunscream that stung . Bless her.

This is fantastic. Specially formulated for people with eczema, etc.

My DS4 is allergic to boots soltan baby and sensitive. The E45 one wsa really good but we now use ultrasun factor 28 which is a once a day for very sensitive skin.

Another vote for Dr Hauschka.

I posted asking the same question a few weeks ago. Different people said different things (I think as with moisturisers different ones suit different people) but one person said that their dermatologist had told them not to use higher than factor 25 on an eczema sufferer as it would clog pores and aggravate it.

I've now bought the organics baby factor 25 - I've only used it once but no sign of any probs. a pharmacist i spoke to about it recommended Nivea baby.

(sorry just seen your ds is 4 so baby doesn't apply but maybe hte factor thing does...)

ds2 had eczema when younger and while he is ok now, he has occasional patches and his skin is quite sensitive, espeically to sun creams
found nivea for kids is fine for him so I stick to that
