Dr martens sandals sizing. Are they big?

So many sellers on Vinted say they are selling as the sandals are too big. Presumably they have bought their normal size and now find they have come up big. Does anyone have an opinion on this? It’s put me off buying a pair on Vinted.

I have the Dr Marten Blaires and they are far too big for me. I bought my usual size.

They also weigh a tonne and rip my feet to shreds because they move about so much. Not sure if that would still happen if they fit me properly.

Depends on the style you go for. Low profile doc martins are wide so size down. The boots, I have found, are snug so size up or normal size. They are a beast to break-in. Expect blisters.

The sandals are vast, really wide. I tried some on in a shop. My usual size in DMs was so wide I looked actually insane. Unfortunately, the length hasn't been increased in proportion to the width. I think I'd have had to go down to about a size 2 for the width to fit but that would have meant I'd have to chop some toes off.

I’ve got the vegan Blaire sandals and had to size down. They’re really soft and comfortable so didn’t have to break them in.

I have the Blaire sandals, ordered direct so obviously didn’t try on first. I love them and wear them but they are so so wide. I wished I’d have sized down but they don’t rub so I put up with them.

I have the dr martens Jorge ll and they are true to size.
