Car seat for Vauxhall Corsa - help!!

Hi - my dd is now 14 months and too big for her rear-facing car seat.

Can anyone recommend a seat for a Corsa as the mumsnet posts seem to suggest Corsa's are hard to find good seats for, which is freaking me out a little as I want her to be safe!

Any ideas would be great - what should I be looking for (apparently it's too old a model for Isofix - 1998)? What questions should I ask and is Halford's the best place to go? - I'm a complete novice at buying these as the in-laws bought the last one so any advice gratefully accepted.

Thanks..........

My friend has a Corsa and she has a Maxi-Cosi Tobi seat (as have we in a Clio). They are expensive, but eay to fit and the seat is fab! And you can get girly pink flowery ones!!

check with your council as they might have a road safety department that handle such enquiries (we have a guy who is so knowldgeable it's quite scary. And he has samples of most car seats to sty in your won car for you and advice). Failing that, have you checked on the Vauxhall website to see which car seat they recommend or check on the britax website to see if any of their's are suitable.

Britax reckon that the Eclipse Si is worth a try but 'variations in buckle length do occur'.
MaxiCosi say the Tobi should be fine.
