My feed is full of these muslin blankets for adult size beds, saying they are great for the summer. Has anyone tried one and would you recommend it please?

Commenting too as I like the look of those “the fleece company” ones but they ship from the states and I cba with that faff.

DD had a giant one when she was little, it was brilliant as a bed sheet for her as she grew older in the hot summer and she still uses it now (9). It feels very soft next to the skin and I would like one.

Lots of places sell similar, although not in a huge range of colours. Much cheaper. Here's Ikea"s effort:

Ah brilliant, those look great. I like the green colour.

I keep getting ads for the fleece company ones. Do you think people use them on their own on the bed or with a sheet under? Also lots of the images have people swaddling themselves in them but I was looking for a bed blanket type thing - am I supposed to get 2 for the bed, one each?

I have a fleece company one and got DD an Ikea one. Mine's a bit bigger, that's all. It's great in the summer for me, although it's a bit too small to use as a bedspread for our super king bed with my duvet hogging DP.

Depends on the size. A king size duvet is 230cm x 220cm and that IKEA muslin throw is 150x200 so you would need two, and might still find it's a bit short

I would be wary of companies that have lots of social media ads but you have otherwise not heard of them. Have a look at trust pilot and read the 1 star reviews.

I've just seen there are lots of them on Amazon, half the price, free delivery and very good reviews
