Where can I buy NUK teats online?

I would like to try these teats as dd2 doesn't get on too well with Avent, she tried a friends NUK teat and was fine with it. I live in deepest Dorset and can't find them in any shops near me. Does anyone know where I can buy them online? Thanks.

Wellbeing.com have the size 1's in stock at £2.39 - hope that helps ?

Lycos.co.uk came up on a google search for NUK teats !

Thanks for that - wellbeing.com don't have the bottles though and I dont suppose the teats fit any other bottle.

One of us City slickers could have a nose around for an offline shop for you and report back if you like, Enid...just say the word. I well remember the joys of hunting down that elusive Playtex feeding kit after ds decided no other bottle would do. I mobilised half of SE London and swooped on an astonished corner pharmacist and bought the lot.
I did hear a rumour, I have NO IDEA if it's true, that some larger manufacturers in this line insist that only their products are stocked in some outlets, thereby reducing the available choice.

Marina, that would be fab, I have a friend in Bristol on the case but she's had no joy so far. There's an AVENT conspiracy!!!

If you do see any anywhere near you, please let me know, thanks E x

Marina, dd still insists on having her bedtime milk via a Playtex bottle....so I too buy those wretched plastic bags for her...aagghhhh. at least the chemist which has them is only 10 mins walk and they are very pleased to help.

You could try Westons - just search on "Nuk" and it will find a variety of sizes a choice of Latex or Silicone.

Enid · 15/01/2003 14:02

oh, now I'm really confused - whats better, latex or silicone, does anyone know? And there's 3 different sizes of hole but they are all for 0-6 months so which one do I choose...

Now I understand the AVENT monopoly...

Hi Enid- looks quite promising here as well.

GillW · 15/01/2003 14:17

Enid - you need the size 2 teats which are for 6 months plus. I guess that the small/medium/large holes correspond to the rate of flow (roughly like the 2/3/4 hole Avent system). This link might give you some guidence on the latex or silicone issue.

Well no joy in the worst Mothercare in the home counties, Enid...but I am not surprised. Will keep my eyes open while on my travels.
I thought the info GillW supplied on latex vs silicone was interesting, but it didn't mention something we certainly found: that ds preferred latex because it was more like human skin in texture. They're darn right about latex losing its "hygienic appearance" though...despite scrubbing with salt etc they soon developed a bloom that looked disconcertingly like mildew!
Latex, unlike silicone, does not like being steam sterilised, as I recall, so that might be a factor, Enid.
Bundle, I have to confess that our very last Playtex teat has been customised by ds to serve as a hat for one of his rubber ducks in the bath. A truly scary sight...

Thank you so much everyone for your help.

Scummy, that link was perfect and I've ordered a whole bunch of stuff. Thank you, thank you.
