I want a good, tough rainsuit for dd. Can anyone recommend one?

One of those all-in-one, zip-up waterproofs - trousers and long sleeves. Something that will keep her dry and not tear the first time she goes down the slide in it. I can find lots to choose from but some seem awfully flimsy.

Anyone?

We got a Togz one for ds age 2 its waterproof has adjustable cuffs on wrists and ankles and has fleecy lining,it has a long zip up the front and an hood. My mum bought it but think was about £35.The best thing ever.Ds loves to play in the water and he's always dry and snug with this on.
Try outdoors type places millets, cotswold etc

Muddy Puddles stuff is good, though have no personal experience of the rainsuits.

I had a muddy puddles one, DD is seriously heavey on his clothes and I have now handed it on in good condition.

I would always go for dungrees and a jacket as DS is so active that he finds the suits a bit sauna-ish (even the V expensive breathable ones), so we just whip the jacket off when he gets hot.

Little Trekkers (website) alway have a good selection and regular sales.

the muddy puddles ones are fab!

IMO you can afford to go up a size as it's useful to go over anorak/snowsuit (realise this isn't such an issue in summer!) and as there's elastic at the feet and cuffs it stays snug despite the extra fabric

When I say seriously heavy use, we have ponies so it gets used every day between sept-april for grubbing around the fields etc

Another vote for muddy puddles. We used all in one whilst they were in nappies, now use jackets and trousers. Fab. and virtually indestructible.

P.OP do the best rain gear I have ever found. It is Swedish and designed for all weather outdoor play. Ds has got salopettes and a raincoat, I cannot rate them highly enough. They also do all in one suits. I'll link you to their website here Click on age group and outerwear to see waterproofs

I bought Togz from Little Trekkers, and it is seriously waterproof and is wearing with no problems at all. Their sizing is very generous too.
