Is there a clip type thing that stops wee ones taking their arms out of their carseat straps?

hairycaterpillar - I certainly hope so, dd keeps doing this, the straps are definitely tight enough but she just manages to maneouvre her way out.

may help

afaik there is one for buggy straps/harnesses but not suitable for car seats due to the safety implications.

ChopsTheDuck · 19/06/2008 13:50

I used this one for ds1. There are several around, we bought a cloth one and he ripped it to shreds. This one did actually help a bit until he learned how to undo it. I don't need it any more, you can have it if you want?

some advice here

Rospa do not recommend the use of restraint clips as they can cause more injuriy in the event of an accident and make getting the child out of the seat difficult.

Thanks for the offer chopstheduck but seems that that one is not suitable for carseats just buggies.

Hmmm I would've thought it's safer to have seatbelt on correctly than not...even if it takes more than one click to get child out. I will need to read the safety reports a bit more closely though, DS is currently crying.

thanks all.

We have one, Cant remeber what its called though sorry. DS was getting out of his straps no matter how tight I pulled it and I felt that this would be safer until the phase had passed. The one we have is meant for car setas and has been crash tested.
Will take a look what make it is later today for you, I bought it in a childrens nursery store.
