Just got one in blue, thanks to a very kind MNer who posted about the reduction in M'care.

She said I need to buy some fleecey things? Or something - a hood maybe? I don't know what to get and where to get it cheaply, so any hints kindly appreciated!

TIA

Mothercare have some fleeces (hood, seat and apron) for £35. But only certain colours. I saw some on ebay in black for £50 last night too, which is £25 cheaper than mothercare

Thanks all!

ScottishMummy, is that everything I could get, I'm not sure what we really need!

Sparkly does Callum like it? I saw they had pink ones at our shop today, but wasn't sure about it with the blue...also I am afraid I do struggle with boys/pink thing!

Will check out ebay.

Callum seems to like it, he has slept twice in it. I am struggling with the unfolding of it atm. But I guess I will get used to it. Can't believe I have one TBH, I always said they were overpriced... but I sold 2 pushchairs this week and made a profit on both of them so I had the money for this.

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 17:35

Oooh more Bug owners I love mine - SGK B can sleep for hours in hers as we go round town.
Flllight - mine is all blue too - we think it's very smart - dh turned into a huge fan surprisingly enough having been very 'how much' about it. Accesssoy wise I just have the parasol (blue) and the footmuff/seat liner (pink)

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 17:36

Oh and folding it - I have good folding days and bad folding days When it goes right it's a breeze - when it goes wrong it goes wrong it provides a lot of amusement for passers-by - all plainly thinking 'look at that daft woman with her expensive pram that she can't even unfold'

Flllight · 19/06/2008 18:44

Hooray! Have found some nice fleece sets reduced, at that evil place two left feet
But I feel I may have beginners luck with them,
Anyway the denim sets were reduced to £25 so got that and orange (£45) in case. Blue and orange, hmm. Yes. Never mind!

Have found a dink in the seat frame foam, where something has cut it, so rang M'care and they will try and get another - hoping they can't and I might just get a discount!!

Golly, did anyone else break all their fingernails trying to get the fr*cking seat tensioner belt onto the frame??!!

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 18:51

Oh I'd forgotten that bit - yes it was tough - I felt worn out afterwards!

ScottishMummy · 19/06/2008 18:59

ahh you have to take bumper bar off apply knee breaking pressure and wahey. i paid £94 for denim recently

ach well

Flllight · 19/06/2008 19:08

Ah. Should have removed bar

Sorry about the denim thing. I shoulda kept ma mouth shut! Is it nice>? I can't imagine denim fabrics really, are they soft?

OP posts:
Flllight · 19/06/2008 19:08

And I expect they will not turn up or something, TLF is notorious

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 19:10

I've just looked at their site and I think they mean £74.95 + £25 but it looks like it come up as the £25 amount in your basket so i suspect they've done the computer bit wrong - hope that's what they charge you!

misdee · 19/06/2008 19:13

to get the seat fabric tensioer off, also pull out the metal bar that runs across the back of the seat connecters. this means the frame gives more. then hook the tensioner over one side, then get someone to push down on it gently whilst pulling the other loop over. then push the metal bar back into place, and then the bumper bar.

Flllight · 19/06/2008 19:19

Blimey Northern. I am a bit worried now. Do you think they might charge the extra later? They have my card details now...can shops do that? Must check what I've been charged.

Thanks...

OP posts:
Flllight · 19/06/2008 19:24

Yes I see what you mean. I wondered what the little + sign stood for. However it looks like I've only been charged £25...I'll see what happens and report back. Feel a bit fraudulent now! It was an honest mistake.
And I rang them to ask if this colour would fit, and why it was so cheap - she didn't have an answer for that. I must have sounded like a loony

So if anyone wants cheapo denim covers, now's the time!

OP posts:
SparklyGothKat · 19/06/2008 19:28

I have ordered the denim ones too, and paid via paypal, so if I don't get them I can get my money back easily...
