A fitted black blazer for a job interview?

Can the collective shopping nous of Mumsnet help me find a blazer for a job interview please. It's in a place where the general vibe is smart - I think an appropriate outfit would be a pair of tailored trousers, an understated elegant top and a blazer type jacket.

More context: it involves a fair bit of travel to get there, so can't be anything that creases badly, though obviously I can carry the jacket and put on at the last moment.

Me: Size 6-8, look dreadful in anything with bigger/ structured shoulders or 'oversized' in look (looks like I've come in my mum's clothes). The best style for me is a fitted/cropped style. I don't mean weirdly cropped, just not long. Double breasted also looks awful on me, i think because I'm basically flat chested too.

Black for preference as trousers are black.

Have I forgotten anything? Oh, well I tried ordering one from M&S and it was truly awful so that went straight back.

For bonus points: as someone who lives (WFH normally) in trainers/ joggers, what shoes do people wear now!?

Jigsaw does a jersey jacket like this. Doesn't crease, not too long, nicely tailored.

Also,Whistles has a nice one, available at John Lewis.

Next have a section for office wear.

@Perfidia sorry if I have disobeyed some Talk commandment - does it matter? If so I’ll ask Mumsnet to move it if that’s possible

Small but decent selection here:

And look at their footwear too, to get an idea of what’s current.

Nothing to do with commandments - I thought you might enjoy browsing a section with dedicated style threads …

If just for an interview, I'd look on Vinted.

I would go with the Whistles one - its jersey, goes with everything, really comfortable. It’s £95 (I have it in several colours as I love it) and it’s machine washable too.

I saw that Whistles one and really like the look of it, I was just vaguely worried that jersey might not feel smart enough? But if it’s well cut I think that might work

I've got a few of these in every colour, they are jersey so comfortable but nicely fitted which I think look smart in the office. I'm sharing a link to vinted as I don't think M&S sell them anymore and obviously this one is not the right size either. M&S Collection Charcoal Slim Fit Jacket Size 16 | Vinted

I've got the Whistles in black and navy. They are good smart basics. I don't know why they say jersey- it's much smarter, structured and thicker than "jersey" suggests, but still very comfortable.
