Soft Back Baby Carrier

I currently use the Zolowear ring sling for my 11 month year old and love it. I carry her on the back of my left hip (so almost a back carry but not quite as I was told to wait till she was a bit older to do a full back carry), but was wondering if anyone had any experience of the soft back carriers like the Mei Tai ones and if these were more comfortable when carry tots on your back than the ring slings?

Any advice welcome! I just don't want to buy another carrier without checking out what other people's experiences are.

Ergos are fab and might do the job?

I have an ergo and love it. Very comfy and I progressed onto it from a ring sling.

A MeiTai is def the way to go - I had a ring sling then an Ergo, then a MeiTai, and soon stopped using the Ergo and bought more MeiTais. Very comfortable, easy to use and adaptable to you.

If you buy one second hand on UKBabywearingswap, which is a Yahoo group, then if you don't get on with a particular one, you can sell it on with very little cost implication. Or go to a Slingmeet and try someones.

I've had two Toddlerhawks (toddler sized Babyhawks) and a FrontBackSides MT.
