Hi , I’ve been researching hoovers for a while and reviews are very mixed . I’m looking for an upright . Anti hair wrap , light weight but powerful no bags
I don’t mind cordless
Any recommendations please ?or a hoover that you own and are pleased with

I have the vax air stretch pet max....its really powerful and lightweight. Even the spiders in the corners are scared

I have the Dyson plug in and cordless one as well. The corded one is brilliant way more powerful than the cordless. Downsides it’s heavy to lift and the hose tube is quite stiff to use.

Thankyou , I’m finding it so hard to decide with so many brands and different functions 🤔

Please update this thread with the one you decide to buy. In the same boat so would be very useful.

I certainly will

I have this one and love it. The motor comes away from the stick so it’s easy to hoover the stairs and under the bed

I clean for a living. I will only buy shark mainly due to how good they are but also their customer service is amazing. Had my hoover for two years and a bit broke ( the entire bottom half totally my fault ) and the replaced it with a whole new part. No quibbling that it was out of warranty or that I had to pay for it.

I have this one - never had a problem with hair wrapping unlike my previous dyson. Easy to take apart to empty. Can't say I#ve ever cleaned it!

JulietteHasAGun · 24/03/2026 12:01

It has better suction than my dyson and I really like it

Carmen866 · 24/03/2026 12:06

Thankyou I’ll look into it

I’ve got a vax pet and teens with very long hair. It’s brilliant.

partystress · 24/03/2026 12:44

Just coming on to say I’ve just bought a Shark anti hair wrap and I hate it! It’s really heavy. Doesn’t get tangled up on the brush but the bottom bit sort of matted my dog’s very fine hair, got blocked so there was no suction and just deposited dirt everywhere. Randomly switches itself off boost. The hard floor setting is too weak to pick up even tiny bits without using boost.

I had a Samsung before and wish I’d bought another.

Same as what Juliette said really. Easy to empty and I think I’ve cleaned it once and was easy to do
